  Registered Member #217 Joined: Posts: 8 | Usually, I get just one Backup mailed daily. However, sometimes I am getting dozens of backups, one triggered every minute or so. This was so annoying that I had to turn off backups when on vacation, and getting mail on a PDA. The Chinese are usually the ones triggering these multiple backups. I have no idea what they are doing in there. Will check my server logs tomorrow and see if I can puzzle it out. I have blocked commenting on the galleries. There's really not any areas they can further abuse. So, if they are just wasting their time there, is there a way that I can "shoot the messenger"? Is there a way to throttle back all these multiple backups? My site doesn't get a lot of legitimate traffic. Seems most of my hits are from some sort of bots. I have tried limiting the worst of it with a heavy .htaccess file. I don't even visit the site daily. So, I don't want to set the trigger for admin or members or I might not be getting enough backups. How can I get just one backup a day without all these dozens of triggers? Thanks | ||
